Data Workers platform. Not part of the open-source core.
Data Workers is an Apache 2.0 open-source core with a managed platform built on top of it. The managed platform has three rungs: Start, a one-time Pilot Program; Scale; and Enterprise. This page covers what is in each one and what it costs.
The open-source core (Apache 2.0)
Free, and yours: fork it, patch it, run it internally, no account and no license key. The platform is built on this core rather than beside it.
- •Every agent is Apache 2.0 - the same agents the platform runs, not a cut-down trial build
- •Runs on your machine
- •Community support: GitHub and Discord
The core ships with a sample estate and runs against it out of the box. It's where you read the agents, drive the full tool surface, and decide whether this belongs in your stack. Running the agents against your own infrastructure is what the platform does.

Start ($7,500 one-time, six weeks)
Start is the Pilot Program: six weeks with a named engineer, for data teams putting agents into a production stack for the first time. The $7,500 is credited in full against your first year. At the end of it:
- •Every agent live against your data, inside your coding agent
- •Governed writes, with a receipt on every change
- •Your context graph, built from your estate
- •The Autonomous Data-Conductor, running
- •Your connectors wired to the catalog you already run
- •Approval workflows and audit trails, configured with your team
Connectors across the major warehouses, catalogs and ops tools, wired to the catalog you already run.
Scale (from $1,000/month)
From $1,000/month, billed annually, unlimited seats. $1,200 month-to-month. For teams who want the platform run for them, fitted to their own stack. Everything from the Pilot Program, ongoing, plus:
- •Context Wizard authoring - govern your context graph in the browser
- •The Autonomous Data-Conductor, hosted by us
- •Custom integrations, built into your context layer
- •Custom agents for your domain
- •Bring your own model, catalog, coding agent or context layer
- •A named engineer, with a 24-hour first response
Enterprise (from $3,000/month)
From $3,000/month, billed annually, unlimited seats. $3,600 month-to-month. For organisations where an agent outage would be a business incident. Everything in Scale, plus:
- •The Spellbook Data Catalog (preview) - your whole fleet on one screen
- •A low-code console and browser IDE (preview) - no terminal required
- •Early access to new features and research previews
- •Your credentials never leave your network
- •Dedicated VPC or your own cloud, SSO, private networking, on-premise
- •We set it up for you, with a 4-hour first response
Enterprise starts at the published $3,000/month. Scoping beyond that is a conversation - contact hello@dataworkers.io.
Items marked (preview) are console surfaces that are still being hardened. They are listed as preview deliberately - do not read them as generally available.
What Holds on Every Rung
Four commitments apply at every tier and in the open-source core:
- •No usage meter - no credits, no runs, no tasks, no invented unit. Automating more of your data operation next quarter does not change your bill.
- •No markup on your model spend - you bring your own key and your provider bills you directly, at your rate.
- •No per-seat charge - seats are unlimited on every rung. The work is done by agents, and the person who reviews it should not be a line item.
- •No lock-in - bring your own model, catalog, coding agent or context layer, keep the Apache-2.0 core, and leave with no notice period and no exit fee.
It also runs in your infrastructure on every rung. Enterprise adds a dedicated VPC, your own cloud, or on-premise deployment.
How to Get Started
The open-source core needs no license key and no account. It ships with a sample estate and runs against it with no credentials required. See Getting Started for the install and the first-run walkthrough.
Putting the agents against real infrastructure starts with the Pilot Program. Book a demo from the Pricing page, or contact hello@dataworkers.io.
